Kevin Durant Dislikes NBA All-Star Game Format Changes

"Kevin Durant's Stance on NBA All-Star Game Format Revamp"
Durant's Disapproval
Durant expressed his strong dislike for the new format during a press conference on Tuesday. "I hate it. I absolutely hate it," he stated. "The All-Star Game formats changing is a terrible idea. In my opinion, all the formats are just not up to par. We should simply go back to the traditional East-West format and play a straightforward game. Although we've been trying to bring back some of that excitement during the All-Star Weekend, I think we should stick to what works."His concerns were further emphasized when he added, "We'll see how this one works, you never know. I might be wrong. I'm just another guy with an opinion, but we'll have to wait and see how it actually plays out."
The New Format Details
The new format will see 24 players drafted into three teams of eight. The Rising Stars challenge winner will form the fourth team competing at the home of the Warriors, Chase Center. The All-Star tournament will consist of two semifinal games and a final. The winning team in all three games will be the one that first reaches or surpasses 40 points. This overhaul comes after commissioner Adam Silver hinted at changes during a November 2nd speech. "We're looking at other formats," Silver said. "There's no doubt that the players were disappointed with last year's All-Star Game. We all want to provide better competition and entertainment for our fans."
