Discover the Local Artistic Community
The gallery, located at 229 Market St., is a collaborative effort among 14 experienced and award-winning artists. Erin Yust-Brown emphasizes the importance of shopping locally, stating, "You get to shop from someone you know it will benefit. The money goes directly to them. The money stays in the community. When you shop small, it lets people continue to do what they love to do."For Davis, a fine art printmaker, the gallery offers a platform to showcase her original hand-pulled prints and monotypes on handmade papers. Her piece "Eagles Mere Evergreens II" is a beautiful example of her work, created during an art workshop weekend in Eagles Mere.Yust-Brown's pottery, modeled after the tri-globe lampposts in Lewisburg, holds a special place. As a Colorado native, seeing the lamppost as she entered town was a significant moment for her. "It's less about the lamppost and more about the community," she says. "It's a symbol that evokes people's emotions."The artists and artisans at the gallery include E. Richard Bonham (medallic sculptor), Toby Bouder (woodturner), Linda Doucette (fiber artist), Paul Grecian (photographer), Selinda Kennedy (redware potter), Gary Leitzel (potter), Marilyn Paul (printmaker), Simonne Roy (painter), Deb Stabley (mixed media artist and ceramicist), Paula Swett (mixed media artist), Ana Truqui (painter), and April Wengren (jeweler).During the Holiday Show, which runs through December, visitors can explore a wide variety of works.
